When it comes to lawsuits, the cheapest method can be seeking “injunctive relief” on search engines as Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. With a court order, these search engine giants will, in most cases, remove the undesirable results from their search indexes.

You need to file a lawsuit against the author of the post and prove in court that the published content is untrue. If you win your case, you can then obtain a court order declaring that the post is defamatory and present this court order to Google. Please note that if Google removes the post, it can still be visible on other search engines such as Bing and Yahoo. So it is best to serve the court order to all search engines.
