From experience, we can say that RipOff Report promises to remove defaming posts for a substantial fee which can lead up to thousands of dollars. Dr. Janice Duffy, who won a lawsuit against Google, wrote about this alleged extortion process and reveals that Magedson, the owner of RipOff Report, admitted that he has removed posts for $50,000. In some cases, but the site publicly claims to never remove reports. Rather, Ripoff Report administrators “change reports from negative to positive”, but this us usually not apparent unless someone reads the entire page (remember Google first impressions). Either way, you remain listed in Google as a “RipOff Report” business.
2. Sue author of the post
Even if you know who wrote the RipOff Report post, it is not worth to sue the author for removal, because only the administrators of the RipOff Report website can remove the complaints, and they publically state that they do not do this, and U.S law means that they are not obligated to do so.
3. Sue RipOff Report
